Here’s How to Fix It

If you’re an ASUS Zephyrus G14 laptop owner, you may have experienced an issue with the display brightness flickering or adjusting automatically. This issue can be quite frustrating, especially when you’re trying to focus on your work or enjoy a movie or game.

After some investigation, I found that the Radeon software “Vari-Bright” was the root of the issue. The software is designed to automatically adjust the brightness and contrast of your laptop’s display based on the content being displayed. While this may sound like a helpful feature, it can be disruptive and distracting, as the brightness flickers and changes frequently.

Fortunately, disabling Vari-Bright is a straightforward solution to this issue. Here’s how to do it:

Right-click on the desktop and select “AMD Radeon Software.”

Go to Settings (gear icon, top right).

Click on “Display.”

In the display Options, toggle “Vari-Bright” off.

Once you’ve disabled Vari-Bright, you should notice that the auto-brightness adjustments and flickering are no longer an issue. Your laptop’s display will maintain a consistent brightness and contrast, making it much easier to work, watch movies, or play games.

In conclusion, if you’re experiencing flickering or automatic brightness adjustments on your ASUS Zephyrus G14 laptop, check your Radeon software settings. If Vari-Bright is enabled, disabling it should solve the issue. Hopefully, this solution helps you enjoy your laptop’s display without any distractions. 🙂

If you’re an ASUS Zephyrus G14 laptop owner, you may have experienced an issue with the display brightness flickering or adjusting automatically.
